Since its establishment in 2003, Miami Bethany Community Services (MBCS) wanted to do something that would expose the talents and abilities of the underserved members of our community. That dream became a reality in the summer of 2007 when MBCS formed the BETHANY JUVENILE ACADEMY AND ORCHESTRA (BJAO).-
What makes this orchestra so special is the fact that it is formed by underserved CHILDREN who learned the music basis and in most cases to play the violin, viola, cello, flute, trumpet, etc., in a frame period of 30 days. At this moment the orchestra is formed by 25 children ages 6 through 16 and the expectations are to add more members in the near future.
With an exceptional music teacher by their side, these children have awaken an art love discipline part in their lives they did not know was within them. |
